The Linder Gallery at Keystone College in LaPlume will present an exhibition of photographs by New York artist Jennie Barrese from Feb. 5 through March 9. The exhibit will feature a reception for the artist on Sun., Feb. 12, from 4-6 p.m. in the Linder Gallery, and the public is invited. Barrese is a native of Scranton and graduated from Keystone College with an associate's degree in fine arts before completing her education at Syracuse University.

Although trained in traditional photography, her artwork involves digital manipulation of photos to produce unusual composites. In her recent series, "Collide," Barrese's artwork features elements of the human figure in strange and visually challenging arrangements. "Collide" is included in the Keystone exhibit.

"I've been looking forward to this exhibit since I first saw Jennie Barrese's artwork in our alumni exhibit two years ago," said Drake Gómez, director of the Linder Gallery. "We're privileged to have her as an alumnus and now as an exhibiting artist at Keystone."

Jennie Barrese's artwork has been exhibited in New York City, Jersey City, N.J., Washington, D.C., Savannah, Ga., and Syracuse, N.Y., in addition to sites in Pennsylvania. She is represented by Porter Contemporary.

Barrese will give a presentation on her artwork on Mon., Feb. 13, at 9:45 a.m. in the Fireplace Lounge of Hibbard Campus Center. Call 945-8335 or visit www.keystone.edu/lindergallery for further information and gallery hours.
