Griffin Pond Animal Shelter will host its annual pet walk and family festival at McDade Park on Sunday, Aug. 17, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event will also include a pet and owner look alike contest, dog training, dancing dogs, agility demonstrations, pony rides, a Clydesdale horse and carriage, pet communicators, pet photography, a microchip booth and additional activities. Walk registration will begin at 11:30 a.m. and the pet and owner look alike contest will begin at 3:30 p.m.
