Free interactive entertainment and special events begin after the parade on Thursday, Feb. 14, through Monday, Feb. 18. All events are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted. For up-to-date event listings, visit www.theabingtons.org.
Thursday
- Annual "Family Fun Faire": Activities will begin at 6 p.m. on the second floor of the Clarks Summit Borough Building, 304 S. State St. Children's Complimentary Activities will include face painting by Happy Faces, storytelling with Chris Archangelo, children's crafts with the Abington Art Studio and more. Food and beverages will be available for sale courtesy of the Abington Lions Club beginning at 4 p.m. on the first floor of the building.
- The annual parade will begin at 7 p.m. and proceed through downtown Clarks Summit along State Street. The parade will feature live ice carving, juggling, local performers and more.
- Post-parade performances will be held on the first floor of Clarks Summit Borough Building. This year's performances will feature emcee and deejay Jack Martin, the coronation of the Festival of Ice "Superheroes," a juggling performance by Rob Smith, laughter yoga with Jeannine Luby and more.
Friday
- Complimentary Trolley Tour of the Festival: 5-9 p.m. It will make stops at Everything Natural, 426 S. State St., Depot Street and the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, 300 School St.
- Superhero Trivia Night: 6:30-7:30 p.m. A night of trivia, Jeopardy and light refreshments for grades four to six at the Abington Community Library, 1200 W. Grove St. Registration is required, call 587-3440.
Saturday
- Complimentary Face Painting at PNC Bank, 207 S. State St., 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
- Art Show: First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, 300 School St. 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
- Chair Massage by Body and Soul Massage and Living Well Massage Studios at Everything Natural, 426 S. State St., from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Massages are dollar a minute and all proceeds will benefit the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter, Indraloka Animal Sanctuary, Countryside Conservancy and the Women's Resource Center.
- Face Painting by Maria at Cloe and Company, 410 S. State St., from noon to 3 p.m. Cost is $5.
- Horse and Carriage Rides: From noon to 5 p.m. Boarding is outside the Clarks Summit Borough Building, 304 S. State St. Tickets are$3 per person and are available at the ABPA Booth inside the building. The carriage has a limit of 12 people per ride.
- Juggling performance: Begins at 2 p.m. at the First Presbyterian Church of Clarks Summit, 300 School St. Featuring Rob Smith juggling clubs, fire torches, rings and knives.
- Meet and greet with One Life to Live Dog Rescue: 2 p.m. at the Clarks Green United Methodist Church, 119 Glenburn Road. Meet their adoptable dogs and enjoy a complimentary obedience class, which will begin at 2:30 p.m.
- Performance of "Frozen Waterman's Good Time Festivities." Begins at 7 p.m. at Everything Natural, 426 S. State St. Features Conor McGuigan and Ranto 50, Scranton's very own superhero.
Sunday
