Abington Heights High School students Liz Bamford and Michelle Pacyna, as part of their senior project, recently completed a competitive food drive at the South Abington Elementary and Newton Ransom Elementary schools. The two-week drive collected 1,421 cans of food for the benefit of United Neighborhood Centers of Northeastern Pennsylvania’s food bank and Angel’s Attic and was presented to Jill Moyle, UNC community services director. Newton-Ransom Elementary won the competition by collecting 909 cans of food.
