Students in Wyoming Seminary Lower School’s seventh- and eighth-grades recently raised more than $1,470 during the fifth annual Wyoming Seminary CPR-A-Thon. Eighty students worked in teams of four to seven members to perform CPR on 13 mannequins during the event, which lasted about an hour. They competed to see which team raised the most money and which team had the best-dressed mannequin. All proceeds benefitted the Sweet Valley Volunteer Fire Company. Lower School students in seventh and eighth grades learn first aid and CPR as part of their health classes. Eighth-grade students seen taking part in the CPR-A-Thon at the Lower School are, from left: Riley Calpin, Waverly; Meghna Melkote, Moosic; Olivia Ostrowski, Dallas; Oonagh White-Spunner, Bloomsburg.
