The Waverly Community House, 1115 N. Abington Road, will host a Coal Dogs Tricks Workshop on Saturday, Sept. 6. Two sessions will be held, the first is from 9 a.m. to noon and the second is from 1-4 p.m. There is a limit of 12 dogs per session and advance registration is suggested.
The workshop will be facilitated by Barb Mattes, owner of Coal Dogs. Organizers say that Mattes will help owners create bonds with their dogs and the workshops will help increase canine confidence as well as thinking skills. Mattes is a certified agility instructor, associate tricks instructor, American Kennel Club evaluator and Therapy Dog International evaluator.
The fee for each session is $60. For more information on these workshops or to register, email Barb Mattes at firstname.lastname@example.org.
