Simple assault, harassment: Thomas Wolsiffer, 18, Clarks Summit, was charged with simple assault and harassment after he allegedly assaulted another person a dispute about money at his residence on Dec. 31, 2009.
Retail theft: Lisa Michelle Crass, 47, Dalton, was charged with retail theft following an investigation into an incident about 5:05 p.m. Jan. 5. Crass was employed at a local business and allegedly stole $1,500 in items, which police recovered after a search of her car.
Warning issued: On Jan. 19, an employee at the Clarks Summit Elementary School reported that she was being harassed by a parent of a student when the parent dropped off the child in the morning. The parent was told to stop or charges would be filed. Police said the complainant was satisfied with the warning.
Theft investigation: On Jan. 23, a resident reported that she detected unauthorized charges on her debit card. The card was recently used to purchase items in New York City. The matter is under investigation.
Mailbox damaged: On Jan. 24, a resident reported that someone destroyed the resident’s mailbox overnight.
Theft investigation: On Jan. 26, a resident reported that someone stole the resident’s identity. A new account was opened and new cards were issued. However, police said an alert Federal Express delivery person in Atlanta, Ga., decided not to deliver the cards because it appeared suspicious.  
Investigation: On Jan. 27, a Center Street resident alleged that a neighbor uses vulgar language and makes lots of noises while entering and leaving a shared driveway. Police said the neighbor agreed to stop but disputes some of the accusations.
Theft investigation: On Jan. 29, a Nichols Street resident reported that someone accessed his account through his debit card and made charges he did not authorize. The matter is under investigation with the assistance of the bank that issued the card.
Dog law violation: A Lilac Lane resident reported on Feb. 1 that a neighbor was allowing his dogs to bark while walking them outside early in the morning. The neighbor was issued a written warning and informed that if the barking continues, a citation under the borough ordinance would be filed.
Investigation: On Feb. 1, police responded to a domestic dispute on Grand Avenue. Police said a male subject was under the influence of a controlled substance. However, there were no threats made nor was there a physical altercation. No charges were filed.
Criminal mischief: A Sheridan Avenue resident reported on Feb. 2 that during the night, someone intentionally scratched the both sides of his vehicle while it was parked outside.  
Harassment: A Powell Avenue resident reported on Feb. 3 that he was receiving harassing phone calls over his cell phone. The matter is under investigation.
