The work of University of Scranton professor and Waverly resident Josephine Dunn, Ph.D., will be featured in the exhibition, “Crossing Disciplines: Text and Images in the Work of J.M. Dunn,” in the university’s Hope Horn Gallery, which will run through Friday, April 11.
An exhibit lecture, “Art as Biography,” by Dr. Dunn will take place on Friday, April 4, at 5 p.m. in the Pearn Auditorium at Brennan Hall. Following the lecture, a public reception will take place from 6-8 p.m. at the Hope Horn Gallery.
According to organizers, Dr. Dunn has spent a lifetime studying the history of art in addition to creating her own works. A professor of history and director of the art and music program at the university, the exhibit is set to explore her career in relation to the intersection that exists between visual images and written words.
The Hope Horn Gallery is open to the public from noon until 4 p.m., Sunday through Friday, and Wednesday evenings from 6-8 p.m. Call 570-941-4214 for more information.
