The Abington Area Community Classroom will host a six-word slam entitled "My Life in Six Words" on Friday, March 22, beginning at 6:30 p.m., at the Clarks Summit Borough Building, 304 S. State St.
Organizers are asking participants to create a six-word memoir of living in this area. The memoirs, or "slams," will be collected and placed into a collection for the greater community. Call 585-0383 or 881-7612 for more information.
Waverly Easter Egg Hunt
The Waverly Community House, 1115 N. Abington Rd., will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, March 23, beginning at 10 p.m.
Children will be divided into age groups. Crafts, breakfast and a visit from the Easter bunny are also part of the day's agends. Tickets are $10 and much be purchased in advance at the Comm office. Tickets for children younger than one year old are free.

Newton Easter Egg Hunt
An Easter egg hunt will be held at the Newton Recreation Center, 1814 Newton-Ransom Blvd., as a part of Laine Murphy's ambassador community service bar project for the Girl Scouts of America, this Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to noon. The event is open to children 10 years old and younger.
Pet Easter Photos
The volunteers of the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter will host their annual pet photos with the Easter bunny at Toyota Scion, 3400 N. Main Ave., Scranton, on Saturday, March 23, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The cost is $5 and all proceeds will be used for the care and feeding of the shelter animals.
Keystone Players To Perform
The Keystone Players will present Noel Coward's comedy, "Blithe Spirit," on Saturday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m. and on Sunday, March 24, at 2 p.m. in the Brooks Theatre at Keystone's LaPlume Campus. Baptist Bible College and Seminary, 538 Venard Road, Clarks Summit, will host its annual president's breakfast on Thursday, March 28, from 7:45-9 a.m. This year's featured speaker is assistant professor Delana Durough, who serves as chair as the school's business administration program.

Pasta e Fagioli Dinner
The Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway, will host its 10th annual pasta e fagioli dinner on Friday, March 29, from 3-7 p.m. The all-you-can-eat dinner features soup, salad, bread and dessert for $7 or $6 for take-outs, which will begin at noon. Vegetable soup will also be available.
