French Toast Breakfast
The Chinchilla United Methodist Church, 411 Layton Road, will host a French Toast Breakfast on Saturday, April 20, from 7-11 a.m. The menu will include an all-you-can-eat buffet of French toast, sausage, fruit, orange juice and other beverages. The Baptist Bible College and Seminary (BBC&S) music department will host a spring concert on Friday, April 19, at 8 p.m., and on Saturday, April 20, at 3 p.m. and at 8 p.m. in the Murphy Memorial Library in Jackson Hall on campus, which is located on Venard Road. Book and Bake Sale
The Dalton Community Library will hold its spring book and Bake sales on Saturday, April 20, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. A large selection of adult and juvenile fiction, as well as magazines, paperbacks and recordings will be available. Call 563-2014 for more information.
The Lackawanna Trail High School Interact Club will host a breakfast buffet and basket raffle at Gin's Tavern, Rt. 107, Factoryville, on Sunday, April 21, from 9 a.m. to noon. Tickets are $10 and $6 for children younger than six.
Menu includes scrambled eggs, made-to-order omelets, home fries, bacon, sausage, pancakes, French toast and beverages. All proceeds will benefit the service and leadership activities of the Interact Club.
The Lake Winola Fire Co. and ladies auxiliary will sponsor an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast on Sunday, April 21, from 7 a.m. to noon at the fire hall, located on Rt. 307. Tickets are $8 for adults and $4 for children age 10 and younger and are available at the door.
The Chinchilla United Methodist Church, 411 Layton Road, will host a spring musical extravaganza service on Sunday, April 21, at 10 a.m.
The service will feature contemporary, traditional, gospel and bluegrass music; including performances by vocalista Mandy Gambal and Barbara Mielechowski, pianist Michael Murrin, the Ainsley Ringers and Dani-elle. Wally Gordon Concert
The Wally Gordon Community Chorus will present its annual spring concert on Saturday, April 27, at 7 p.m. at the Clarks Summit United Methodist Church, 1310 Morgan Highway. The chorus is directed by Loriann Valentine Kerber and accompanied by Shirley Valentine and several guest musicians.
The concert will feature selections by the Wally Gordon Men's Quartet. This year's concert theme is "Back to Broadway" and will showcase the music of Rogers and Hammerstein, Andrew Lloyd Weber and the music of "Les Misérables." Tickets will be available at the door.
