Christmas Service

The Waverly Community Church, 101 Carbondale Road, will host a “Christmas Celebration Service” on Friday, Dec. 20, beginning at 7 p.m. The snow date will be on Sunday, Dec. 22, at 6 p.m. The theme for this year will be “Miracle,” and the service will include special music, children’s skits, carols, a candle lighting and refreshments. Christmas Breakfast

The University of Scranton’s will host its fifth annual community Christmas Day breakfast on Wednesday, Dec. 25, from 8 to 11 a.m., in the third floor Fresh Food Company of the DeNaples Center. The breakfast is offered free-of-charge to the elderly and those who are alone or in need as a gift to the community this holiday season. The breakfast will include eggs, sausage, pancakes, juice and other foods. The University of Scranton Dining Service/ARAMARK staff and other volunteers will prepare and serve the breakfast. The event was organized by the University’s Center for Service and Social Justice and Dining Services/ARAMARK.
