Health & Wellness Fair
A free health and wellness fair will be held on Saturday, Feb. 9, at the Ice Box Sports Complex, Olive St., Scranton from noon to 3 p.m. The event is co-sponsored by ProActive Family Chiropractic, Jaya Yoga and the Scranton Running Co. Breakfast Buffet
The Newton-Ransom Fire Co., located on Newton-Ransom Blvd., will host an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet on Sunday, Feb. 10, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are $8 for adults; $4 for children. The menu will include pancakes, bacon, sausage, home fries, beverages and baked goods.
Monthly Bingo
The Knights of Columbus council no. 6611 will host bingo at Our Lady of the Snows Church, 301 S. State Street, Clarks Summit, on Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 7 p.m. Bingo cards are 50 cents each or three for $1.00 per game. There is no cover charge and complimentary light refreshments will be available.
Pork & Sauerkraut Dinner
The ladies auxiliary of the Fleetville Fire Co. will host a pork and sauerkraut dinner at the fire house on route 407 on Tuesday, Feb. 12, from 5-7 p.m. Tickets are $8.50 in advance and $9 at the door. Tickets are $5 for children youngeer than 12. Call 945-3139 for tickets or for more information.
Ash Wednesday Service
The Clarks Green United Methodist Church, 119 Glenburn Road, will host an Ash Wednesday service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 13. The service will include distribution of ashes and a healing service.
Lenten Pizza Sale
The Chinchilla Hose Co. will host its annual Lenten pizza sale begining Friday, Feb. 15, and continuing every Friday in Lent. Red and white broccoli pizza will be available for pickup at the fire house on Shady Lane Road in Chinchilla from 2-7 p.m. Orders can be placed on the day of the sale by calling 586-5726. All proceeds benefit the operations and needed equipment of the Chinchilla Hose Co. of South Abington Township.
