Breakfast with Santa

Big Blue Day
Baptist Bible College and Seminary (BBC&S) will host its annual Big Blue Day on Saturday, Dec. 8, at 1 p.m. and at 3 p.m. The day offers students in grades two through eight the chance to participate in a 45-minute basketball clinic as well as watch the BBC&S Defenders teams play against Cabrini College. The basketball clinics will be held following the games and pizza will be served for participants and their families. Students wearing a Big Blue T-shirt will receive free admission to the day's events, along with one adult. Admission for others is $5; $3 for students. Cookies with Santa
Eventful Moms will host "Cookies with Santa" at the Clarion Hotel, 300 Meadow Ave., Scranton, on Sunday, Dec. 9, from 1-4 p.m. The event will be a fundraiser for Catholic Social Services' Gifts for Kids program. Tickets are $3; $2 for children. There will be live music, crafts, raffles, holiday shopping, and a visit from Santa. Photos with Santa will be available for a small fee. Business Mixer
The Abington Business and Professional Association (ABPA) will host its annual holiday after-hours card exchange on Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Caregivers America, 700 S. State St., Clarks Summit, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The event will take place in Caregivers America's Wellness Center, which is located in the complex's upper building. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres will be provided by event co-host Beta Bread. Reservations can be made by calling 587-9045 or by e-mailing LauraABPA@aol.com by Friday, Dec. 7. Each Abington Business and Professional Association member is encouraged to bring one non-member to the event.
School Tour
Any Our Lady of Peace student interested in attending Abington Heights High School is invited to participate in a tour on Wednesday, Dec. 12, from noon to 3 p.m. Activities will include a brief presentation by administration, a question-and-answer session with ninth-grade OLP transfer students and a shadowing experience. Parents are asked to contact assistant principal Marc Wyandt at wyandtm@ahsd.org or 585-5332 to confirm participation in this event.
