AH Pink Fundraiser

The Abington Heights girls' varsity basketball team is selling pink T-shirts for wear at the Abington Heights vs. Scranton Prep game on Friday, Jan. 27, at 7:15 p.m. at Scranton Prep. The T-Shirts are priced at $8 each, and are available in sizes small through XX-large. Proceeds from the sale will benefit breast cancer research. T-shirts will be sold during high school lunch periods or through coach Vince Bucciarelli at 585-5300.

Alzheimer's Support Group

The Alzheimer's Association of Greater Pennsylvania's Alzheimer's support group will meet on Tuesday, Jan. 31 from 7-8 p.m. at Elan Gardens, 465 Venard Road, Clarks Summit. This month will feature a discussion on medications that can be used for dementia patients. Call Rita at 586-0179 for more information.

Griffin Pond Fundraiser

On Sunday, Feb. 5, a Puppy Love Pet Photo Fundraiser will take place at Fetching Grooming Salon, 1928 Boulevard Ave., Scranton, from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Pet pictures will be taken for Valentine's Day by Sandra Hobbs Photography and raffles will be available. All proceeds will go to the Griffin Pond Animal Shelter's Veterinary Care Fund for sick and injured animals. Call 558-1313 for more information.

Pasta Fundraiser

The Lackawanna Trail Friends of Music will host a pasta dinner fundraiser for the Lackawanna Trail music department on Saturday, Feb. 11 from 4-7 p.m. at Lackawanna Trail High School, 28 Tunnel Hill Road, Factoryville. Lackawanna Trail's Jazz Band as well as Lion Idol participants will perform. Tickets are $8, $6 for seniors and students. Take outs will be available.
