Career Fair: Abington Heights High School's third annual Career Fair will take place on Thursday, Feb. 2 from 10 a.m.-2:15 p.m. at the High School, 222 Noble Road, Clarks Summit. AH Spring Sports Physicals: Abington Heights School District physicals for spring sports will be held on Thursday, Feb. 23, at the Abington Heights High School Field House. Junior high physicals will take place from 2:30-4 p.m. and physicals for grades 9-12 will be held from 4-6 p.m. The cost is $15 per student.

"You Can't Take It With You": Abington Heights High School, under the direction of John Monahan, will present "You Can't Take It With You" by Moss Hart and George S. Kaufman on Thursday, March 15; Friday, March 16; Thursday, March 22; and Friday, March 23. Performances are at 7 p.m. in the high school auditorium, 222 Noble Rd., Clarks Summit. Tickets are $8, $5 for students.

Introduction to Martial Arts: An introduction to martial arts is offered from 7-9 p.m. Tuesdays at the Chinchilla United Methodist Church, 411 Layton Road, in Chinchilla. The introduction includes learning techniques, stretching and practicing, as well as learning how to fall to avoid an injury. Bingo in Dalton: The Dalton Fire Co. Ladies Auxiliary regularly sponsors bingo every Monday night at the Dalton Fire Co. Hall, South Turnpike Road, Dalton. Doors open at 6 p.m. Games begin at 6:45 p.m.

Help for Families: Families Helping Families meets at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday during the school year at the Abington Community Library, 1200 W. Grove St., Clarks Summit. This support group, provided by the library and the Clearbrook Foundation, gives families who face drug and alcohol addiction a place to find support, education and information. Over the year, young men and women meet to share their experience, strength and hope in achieving sobriety. In addition, local professionals associated with alcohol and drug issues, such as certified addiction counselors, school officials and legal personnel, also present information.

Attic Shop Hours: The Attic Shop, a nonprofit, upscale consignment shop hosted by the Waverly Woman's Club, is located in the lower level of the Waverly Community House, 1115 N. Abington Road. It is open Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to noon and on the first and third Wednesdays of the month from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Consignment hours are Wednesdays from 9:30-11:15 a.m. and the first and third Wednesdays from 6-8 p.m. The Attic Shop features top- of-the-line, name-brand clothing for all ages, as well as jewelry, handbags, shoes and household items at low prices.

Winter clothing will be accepted through January. Articles must be cleaned and pressed. All household items must be clean and in working order. No shoes will be accepted. Clothing that is clean, in style and suitable for sale may be donated. Jewelry, dishes and household items may also be donated. The consignor receives half of the selling price. The Attic Shop receives half as commission. From now through April, donations will be accepted at the Attic Shop during shop hours and on Mondays between 9:30-11:30 a.m. All items are tax deductible and a receipt will be furnished upon request. Help for Disabled Persons: Lackawanna County Coordinated Transportation is offering reduced-fare transportation to persons with disabilities living in rural areas of the county.

Those eligible must live in Lackawanna County, be 18 to 64 years old and have a disability as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act.
